I am heading to Pittsburgh on Saturday to watch the Pens on the big screen. Can you drink beer while watching? I know that technically alcohol is prohibited at the outdoor big screen pens parties at mellon arena, but I was wondering if this is one of those rules that the city has to have in place but doesnt necessarily enforce, or if i will be ok to pack myself a six pack or so to enjoy while I watch with a couple thousand other fans like myself.

Pens/Sens game 3... how could Pittsburgh be so disrespectful? I was at the game last night and was completely taken aback from the lack of respect that a lot of Pittsburgh fans showed to Canada... Some people were actually boo-ing during the Canadian National Anthem. With how patriotic America claims to be, I don't understand how you can be an American and still disrespect another country... let alone when more than half of your team is from that country!!! Last night, I was ashamed to be in that arena. Cheap Hotels Close to Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh? So I'm finally heading down to Pittsburgh (flying from Canada) to see the Pens play the Devils in April. I'll be staying in the city for 4 nights, so I'm looking for a cheaper hotel as close to Mellon Arena and the downtown area as I can get. Does anyone have any places that they would recommend?

I give credit to Malone and Gonchar who played hurt and was Gonchar's timing perfect coming back in the third overtime. How Cheap are the Pens? I was just watching CBC and they said that the Pens set up a program where only Pens fans could buy tickets for the playoffs (you have to have a Pittsburgh Zip Code to buy them). Isnt this AGAINST the spirit of the game? I mean why not just get rid of the Away Teams locker room so that they dont have a place to change? It's times like this that I wish that the Pens had left Pittsburgh, cause if they are going to be that silly about competition, then they dont deserve to have a team. And lets hear it for Colby Armstrong and his cheap shot tactics! first Letowski, now Eaves. He should get the C, in his case though it would stand for "Cheap" Cheap and illegal are 2 different things, a hit could be legal, but doesnt mean its clean, perfect example, The Neil hit on Drury. Everyone was all over Neil for that hit, and it was perfectly clean, I feel the same way about that hit that I do with the Armstrong hit, just because he CAN hit someone, doesnt mean he HAS to hit that person, both the Neil and Armstrong hit were uncalled for.

Should the Pens stay in Pittsburgh? I know this question has been asked a million times, but I dont mean it the same way others have. The Pens bring so much money to that city and I think the city officials should start showing some appreciation. Between them charging the club so much of construction, and then publicly saying they will try to have the NHL force them to stay if they dont agree to their terms, this is insane. The Pens belong in Pittsburgh because they are one of the few real hockey citys in the states, but if I were Mario, I would leave just out of spite for the officials. If you were in charge of the club, would you continue to negotiate with those jackass officials after all they have pulled?

If the Pittsburgh Penguins make it to the playoffs, who would want to face them? The Pens are such a exciting team and are starting to play a full 60 minute hockey game. With the fire power they have and the ability to turn it on at any given minute who would be willing to face them in the 1st round? If the Pens lose in the first round the team that beats them might not be able to recover to play good in round two. I think they are dangerous and teams are hoping not to play them in the 1st round at least. Who else agrees and if you don't give a good reason why not?
