Besides lemon juice, does anyone know any natural hair highlighters?
I would like to know if there are any 'at home' remedies or recipies for my hair to naturally highlight it. Its light brown with natural blonde highlights which come out in the summer, and I am looking for a way to 'speed up' the process. I go to the pool alot and tan, and my hair gradually gets lighter, but like i said, i'm trying to speed it up. I heard lemon juice works sometimes, and sometimes makes hair orangie, but i would like to know any other 'at home' recipies? Thanks a bunch :]

- spend alittle time in the sun its known for making peoples hair lighter,
- Hydrogen peroxide works, but make sure to mix it one part to ten parts water. Anything stronger will "burn" your hair. Speaking from personal experience. Also just being out in the sun (make sure to wear sunscreen!). I also use the Pantene Blonde Expressions (though I'm a natural dark blonde, not brunette with natural highlights) and found - especially at first - it really brought out the lighter tones. Plus, it's good quality product.
- try hydrogen peroxide (use can get it in the drugstore... yes, the stuff you put on cuts) and lemon juice...equal parts and apply to hair and use a hand held dryer to accelerate lightening or sit in the sun...make sure you condition afterwards.
- i used chamomile tea (brewed really strongly). just leave it in for half an hour (no sun required) and then wash it out. it works gradually so you can control how much it lightens everything. lemon juice works well too, but it needs sun and is kinda sticky.

- go play in the sun!
