How do I get a highlighter stain out of my backpack?

Recently, I left a highlighter pen in my backpack and I didn't notice the cap wasn't on and the liquid seeped through my backpack got on some of my papers. How do I get the stain out of my backpack?

You could try using Isopropyl Alcohol on the spot: Empty backpack and place an old towel or rag inside (to be a backing for your next step): Pour a small amount of alcohol on another old towel or rag, and carefully dab the stain (do not rub, it'll just smear it), while holding the inside towel behind where you are working to help pull out the stain. Keep trying, and hopefully this will work. PLEASE have an adult help you, even if you think you're old enough to do it yourself, as this alcohol is strong - Oh - be sure to do it in a well ventilated area, away from flames.
