Highlighters

do highlighter pens work just as well as UV or neon body paint under UV lights?

i'm going to a neon/uv rave party soon & i don't have the cash to spend on expensive body paints & such. do highlighter pens work as well as proper products? also, are there any good sites to get cheap glow/uv/neon items?
