what is that called when you get pens and pencils with your company name or your name on it?

they also print them on golf balls, pens, pencils, highlighters, gadgets...how do they do that and what is it called? is it a machine that does it? anybody know?

  1. It's called personalization I think it's done by machine, but I'm not sure.
  2. It's for advertisement purposes, simply another way to get their name out there. They are manufactured by custom printers. And yes they are done by printing machines in such businesses.
  3. I believe that most is done with Pad printing or silk screen. Some are heat imprints and some are appliques. But from the items you mentioned I would think Pad Print and Silk Screen would be the method used to make promotional items.
  4. When you get a company name on it, it's called, "Merchandise". When you get your own name on it, it's called, "Tacky".
