What are the best pens used for inking?
I've been drawing anime for some years now, and I've always admired the really smooth work that professional artists do. I've tried Sakura Pigment pens, but the nibs get worn down really easily and the pens don't have that "smooth" quality to them that I'm looking for. I'd like to find a pen that would give me the best quality of manga. Preferably, these pens should come in a wide variety of sizes (from about .005 to whatever). Thanks!

- copic multiliner or microns.
- It all depends on what you are willing to pay. Staedtler pigment liners are pretty nice and usually don't cost too much. If your really cheap pilot pens work pretty well This website has some rarer Neopiko pens that are really good. You can only buy them online though. http://japanimation.com/index.php?url=indexSearchResult.jsp?arg=mid%253D9855682130%2526cod%253D1000063%2526usr%253D%2526cid%253D%2526typ%253Dcl%2526aff%253D%2526srs%253D1000481 Copic multiliners work well too but like the neopiko pens they are hard to find. I personally use Faber Castell for my inking needs it was easy to find and didn't cost much but they don't have a huge variety of sizes. The paper quallity could effect the inking as well. I use cardstock. It is cheaper than "special" artist paper and it's thick/smooth enough for my pens to get an even/consistent flow without bleeding through. :) If you find that traditional inking isn't working I suggest using the computer for lineart you can get nice effects and it's smooth.
